Job description
As a Quality Line Manager leading our Reconciliation team, you will be responsible to establish and maintain processes to ensure aircraft conformity to Type Design for a newly manufactured aeronautical product. This includes a close integration with other functional stakeholders throughout the reconciliation process for the Toronto Green Aircraft as well as Modline Installations leading to an application for Certificate of Airworthiness with Transport Canada. You will also play a key role in meeting the goals of the business in today's challenging and changing environment. In your role you will :
- Be responsible to establish the final reconciliation and conformity process for a Newly Manufactured Aeronautical Product (Green Aircraft Type Certification)
- Establish system tools and processes for sustainable Certification activities on a manufacturing line.
- Lead the team that declares aircraft conformity to its approved design data, is in condition for safe operation.
- Achieve the required product quality performance by reinforcing and implementing the Quality Management System
- Plan, implement and control functional activities in order to achieve departmental targets
- Manage, coach, develop and provide feedback to a group of employees
- Utilize AES and Problem Solving techniques to ensure best practive and continuous improvement in Quality deliverables
- Ensure functional role is integrated into Business Unit resulting in a one-team approach
Requirements
- You hold a Post-secondary degree/diploma in a quality or technical discipline;
- You have an understanding of Quality Management Systems;
- You have in-depth knowledge and experience in quality control, manufacturing, scheduling;
- You have previous experience in Collective Agreement administration;
- You enjoy face to face conversations and bringing team members together to reach the desired outcome;
- You have an understanding of Change Management process;
- You possess the following : ethics, integrity and honesty, respect for others, cooperation, be motivated to get things done, be able to express ideas logically and coherently, possess a positive attitude, be able to overcome obstacles, assume full responsibility;
- You utilize the appropriate resources to solve day-to-day problems, react quickly to unforeseen events;
- You must be flexible and able to work various shifts
